Hi! I’m Rob, a copywriter/creative director (ads, branded content, digital), screenwriter (TV and film), and director (commercials, shorts and one feature film). I also play guitar in the best preschool parent band west of the 405.

Recent clients: Apple, Amazon Prime Video, GoDaddy, Infiniti, U.S. Army, Lululemon, Mattel (Barbie and Polly Pocket) and Trinity Fruit. I’ve also written and directed ads for Samsung, Toyota, Jaguar, Starbucks and Twix for ad agencies including TBWA Chiat/Day, Fallon, BBDO, Saatchi and Deutsch. I love snappy headlines, work that people tell their friends about, and craft services. Not necessarily in that order.

In TV, I’ve been Co-Executive Producer (a fancy term for writer) on the action/comedy series MacGyver (CBS) and Scorpion (CBS). I also wrote for the crime dramas Medium (NBC) and The Inside (FOX).

I wrote and directed the comedy feature Someone Marry Barry, now on Hulu (please watch it so I can get my two cent residual.) My short film Our Time Is Up got an Academy Award Nomination for Best Live Action Short Film. My feature comedy True North is set up at Warner Brothers/Imagine with Ed Helms to star.

I’ve written movies for Universal, Spyglass, and Focus, among others, and TV pilots for CBS, NBC, FOX, ABC, USA and CW. I wrote, directed and acted in the Comedy Central web series Matumbo Goldberg with Anthony Anderson (Black-ish). He’s a way better actor than me, and I’m okay with that.
